Born in Southwest Missouri, I grew up in an environment where love was conditional, safety was uncertain, and emotional wounds were a daily reality. There was no consistent father figure, no blueprint for how to be a man, and no example of spiritual leadership. I learned early on to shut down emotionally, to stay guarded, and to carry weight I was never built to bear.
Though I come from a line of pastors on both sides, faith wasn’t something that was actively nurtured in our household. By the time I was old enough to ask the big questions, I’d already written God off. I became an atheist. And like so many men, I built an identity around pain, performance, and self-preservation. I believed I wasn’t enough, that I wasn’t wanted, and that I had nothing real to offer the world.
Anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts shaped my internal world, even as I wore the mask of strength to get by.
My wife, a woman of unwavering faith, never stopped believing that one day, God would change my life.
Everything changed in late 2019.
I had an encounter with God I couldn’t ignore. Something I had never experienced before; raw, real, and convicting. After that encounter, I began to start watching online church. Other men began to speak into my life. And eventually, we stepped into in-person church. That’s when the walls began to fall. I started to feel conviction, not shame, but the holy kind of discomfort that tells you the way you’ve been living isn’t what you were made for.
I had to face some hard truths: I didn’t know who God really was. I didn’t know what a real man looked like. I didn’t know how to lead a home, or love with strength, or live with purpose.
But I wanted to learn.
Over the last 3–4 years, I’ve been walking a slow and sacred road, deep inner work, spiritual restoration, healing old wounds, breaking cycles, and letting Jesus redefine everything.
My wife had mentioned starting a coaching company several times. I always said no. But the last time she brought it up, I felt the Holy Spirit whisper, “It’s time."
And that’s when Forged by Fire was born.
This program is my heart on display. It’s not about self-help, it’s about surrender, transformation, and identity. It’s for the man who’s tired of pretending. Tired of hiding. Tired of wondering if there’s more.
I want every man to know:
→ You are enough, because Jesus said you are.
→ Being emotionally shut down isn’t strength, it’s sabotage.
→ True masculinity looks like humility, courage, and ownership.
→ Leadership starts with confession, not perfection.
→ You can’t lead others if you’re still running from yourself.
Forged by Fire is here to help you face the pain, reclaim your identity, deepen your relationship with Christ, and become the man, husband, father, and leader God designed you to be.
This is your time.
Not to perform.
But to be forged.
Forged by Fire is a 12-week coaching experience where you’ll face the pain you’ve been avoiding, deepen your walk with Jesus, restore your identity, break mental strongholds, and step boldly into the man, husband, father, and leader God has called you to be.
→ Face Identity Wounds
→ Lead Your Spouse, Children, and Others Around You
→ Discover Your Purpose Through Scripture
